My name is Lucy Neilan, and I am currently a student at the University of Pittsburgh. I am majoring in Media and Professional Communications.
Throughout my life, I have had a passion for creativity and design. I have worked with multiple companies and on many projects about growing a media audience for a professional brand.
My graphic design, content creation skills, and talent for connecting with an audience make me a great candidate for positions in growing a media brand.

Above, I have included many of the projects I have spearheaded throughout my career. The Met Gala spread, as well as the Nova Magazine spread, were created for my Integrating Writing and Design course to be used to demonstrate how to properly intertwine content creation with informing your audience and creating an aesthetic appeal. The Playa Bowls Instagram content shown above, I helped curate and post as part of my job. The Pittsburgh bagel account and QR code examples I have provided were a part of my course Professional Uses of Social Media, and I created the infographics and all content on the Instagram account as a part of our week-long assignment to grow a following and post content. Through this assignment, I was able to gain the most followers in the shortest period of time, and cater my content to my demographic of choice.
Latest Project
Throughout my study abroad experience, I have been working to take amazing photos to curate a brand for myself. Travel has been incredibly important to my development of design and content creation skills. My abroad experience has taught me how to take photographs that make the city I am in look the most appealing. I know what angles to get, at which hour of the day, to make sure I am showcasing the place in the best light possible. Also, from my experience, I am able to see how social media trends work in other countries and gain hands-on experience with making a business or place the most appealing.
